ICT Personnel

800STAR is seeking a proactive and solutions oriented individual for the position of ICT Personnel. The candidate will be tasked with developing and documenting reports necessary for decision making. Core responsibilities and tasks include the backup, maintenance, support of electronic company data and software systems. Other tasks include liaising with external service providers for maintenance, configuration and upgrading of software and hardware-integrated systems used within the company.  The ICT Personnel must provide end-user technical support to the entire organization on the use of all software and hardware-integrated systems (the candidate must possess the ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization).

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of Java EE/ Apache Tomcat web programming and frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL. Experience of Microsoft SQL-Server will be an asset.
• Comfortable programming in popular design patterns and frameworks.
• Comfortable working with application API’s and middleware.
• Basic understanding of hardware and network troubleshooting. Helpdesk support experience is appreciated.
